A park in NY that we had randomly chosen to visit one day was Storm King State Park. It is a park that has several trails, gorgeous views, and very limited parking.
The park is located directly off of route 9w in Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. There is a small parking lot that fills quickly daily and is even restricted by the park police. Best action to take is to get there early to increase your chances of getting a spot.
The two trails we have followed are the blue and white trail as well as the blue then white trail. Each trail is decent when it comes to the difficulty of the path. Each had steep ascents and descent as well as rocky terrain. Loose rocks are absolutely something to be cautious about when hiking.
The views of the Hudson River as well as those of the Catskill mountains are truly breathtaking. It is a beautiful place to relax and get away. It is hard to describe in words and so we have put together a video for you to check out.
